A 24 hour solo in nature

An adventure, 24 hours with yourself, a river and a breathtaking view.

“Vision quests” are rites of passage that have been performed in Native American cultures for centuries. In short, the traveler ventures into nature and marks an important transition in his life – a turning point, if you will. “Find your spot in nature that fits you”

The essentials and 24 hours
When I found this amazing spot close to the river, safely surrounded by some trees, I had a straight view of the snow-capped mountains. It couldn't be clearer, as an addicted skier and mountain lover I want to work more in these types of environments. The alpha waves (brain frequency) caused by nature and its silence brought me closer to the essence, to who I am, what is really important to me. My essence is a Vortex, a powerful force of nature. I want to move people and bring them closer to their essence by being in nature, by playing, by feeling, by connecting with themselves and others. Who are you before you think?

Nature is a purifier
Staring for several hours at the fire I had made myself, I felt gratitude for my health, for the fact that I was raised by two beautiful people, for the love I feel and receive from my family and friends. The fire also brought me back to the age of 7, where I felt warm and safe with my family. I never cried tears because my parents split up when I was 22, but now I did. The time, the silence and the fire made me think about what is really important to me in life. Giving love and a warm shelter to my family is certainly one of them.

Impact of the wilderness
Back in 's-Hertogenbosch I notice that something has changed. I am here with more attention and have slowed down and how fast that city moves! After these 3 weeks in nature, my vision is sharper and my eyes feel a lot less dry and tired. I experience all my senses differently, my feelings, my taste, my hearing and finally I notice that I am more present in contact with other people. I'm sure. I want to integrate nature more into my daily life and also into my practice and programs in which I guide and develop people.

Slow down and (re-)connect
If you need some me-time, you want to (re)connect with yourself, you are looking for adventure, for a clearer path in life or your work, you want to become more aware of your leadership style and potential and you are curious about what nature can bring you? An adventure in nature will help you see and understand your personal truths.
