Snow Expedition
Personal reflection | back to your base
A snow-white experience you will never forget!
Unknown area
That space offers possibilities. For example, to really slow down. But also to give freedom to your inner urge for movement. Skiing, out with the huskies, building an igloo — yes, there is room and time for that. In fact, that’s the reason we're here.
Useful nullity
Norway is a country of colossal mountain formations laced with deep fjords. A surrounding in which you can't help but feel insignificant. In a good way. That pays off: that useful insignificance puts things in perspective.
Challenges that, in the day-to-day issues, seem insurmountable, are suddenly a lot more manageable from the Norwegian mountains. At the edge of a fjord, problems you've been dancing around for ages suddenly become clear and manageable. The distance from "everything" gives you the chance to get unexpectedly close to yourself.
Active & taking it slow
We don't sit there staring into the distance for days in a row — how tempting though that may be. The environment challenges us to be active, but also to slow down. During the days in Norway we have a varied program.
Yes: backcountry skiing is definitely on the program. A breathtaking husky ride, a snow-shoe hike to the fjords in ultimate silence, overnight in a self-built igloo — the list is endless. We also make use of varying body-oriented methods; from breathing techniques to sensory challenges.
“Offline for a bit”
A word of warning: there is no 5G in the Norwegian mountains. Not that it matters, because the entire expedition is "offline by design" during the activities and conversations. No phones, no smart watches, no distractions. That digital detox in itself is a huge boost for many people.
